Why add 10% wastage?
Cutting tiles for edges, corners and doorways breaks some; patterns and diagonal layouts waste more (use 15%).
What tile size for a bedroom?
2×2 ft (600×600mm) is the standard for rooms; larger 800mm tiles suit big halls; smaller tiles for bathrooms.
How do I account for the skirting?
Skirting needs ~1 tile per 8 running feet of wall (cut into strips) — add it separately.
Should I buy extra boxes?
Yes — keep half a box spare. Future repairs with a different dye lot will visibly mismatch.
