How much paint per square foot?
Roughly 1 litre covers 100–140 sq ft per coat for emulsion. Always check the can — coverage varies by brand and surface.
Do I need primer?
On new plaster or colour changes, yes — one coat of primer improves finish and can reduce topcoat needed.
How many coats?
Two coats over primer is standard. Dark-to-light colour changes may need three.
What about doors, windows and ceiling?
Subtract ~20 sq ft per door and ~15 per window from wall area; add ceiling area separately if painting it.
